Our writing is introduced into the issue of identity, know yourself to know who am I? if that is given or being built by every human being. The problem arises when it is not found, neither the person itself, nor the friends, reliable answer to the question Who am I? then the suspicion that only God can answer emerges. For this I enter in any of the works of Augustine Soliloquios written in 386, De Magistro written in 389, Confessions written in 397, De Civitate Dei written in 413 and will not be cited chronologically but according to the thematic continuity. In a first time appointment gorge myself the text and then, in a second stage, to contrast it with thinkers of modernity and contemporary.
