Abstract

The information society is necessarily and undeniably supported by technologies to become a driver of knowledge, which, based on modern pedagogical techniques, transforms the student into the protagonist of his own learning model. The integral education of a student where the concepts and themes
developed are promoted by himself, has the challenge of achieving an integration of knowledge to ensure that these concepts and themes developed are transformed into integrating ideas, based on self-managed education with facilitating teachers, conductors and referents. It is the responsibility of educators and institutions to help students in knowledge management, which implies a necessary change in learning models, and the rethinking not of “how to teach” but of “how to learn”. For the teacher, the challenge is enormous, since he must not only become a digital immigrant to adapt to the times, but he must also learn to teach in the challenging knowledge society.
