Abstract

Among St. Thomas´ texts on the simplicity of God, q. 3 from prima pars of Summa theologiae (1265-1267) stands out due to its condensed nature and the pedagogic organization of the articles. However, it is valuable mainly because it transmits the most finished reflection of the Dominican master on this holy attribute. Highlighting the central character of this attribute in St. Thomas´ theology would demand a large research undertaking. The intention of the present research is quite modest: to give a brief systematic introduction to the passage so as to pave the way for a more profitable reading of it.
