La carga de teoría de la base empírica: ¿el fin de la filosofía de la ciencia?

Abstract

The article asks if philosophy of science has arrived in a kind of fi nalization, inasmuch keeps being set as a research program without the hermeneutic problem that involves the problem of empirical bases. In order to do it, we review the history of the problem with special emphasis in post popperian philosophy of science; the “new experimentalism”, and the notion of “theory” that is involved. Then we remark the hermeneutical turn´s importance, and we propose a new conceptualization of the famous “empirical testing”. We f nally arrive at the conclusion that philosophy of science is more philosophy than methodology.
