Along the twentieth century, several scholars indicated the presence of platonism in Aquinas’ philosophy. But it was insisted, a bit unilaterally in his Aristotelianism for a long time. This work proposes to explain platonic elements in his philosophy, and more specifically in the field of metaphysics. Our aim is not to investigate the historical path of this integration, but rather to reflect on the philosophical meaning of these ideas. It is a theoretical point of view. In fact, we’ll try to see the presence and meaning of platonic doctrine of ideal Forms, exemplar causality, unity-multitude dialectics, and metaphysics of participation in Aquinas’ philosophy. We must considere that it is not merely a repetition, but Saint Thomas elaborates these doctrines in a new, original philosophical synthesis
