El Verbo, revelador del Padre, en el Comentario de san Juan de santo Tomás
Resumen
Este artículo trata de comprender la acción del Verbo en la historia de la salvación estudiando la Lectura super Ioannem. El Verbo expresa perfectamente la esencia de Dios y lo hace a modo de entendimiento. Cuando el Padre pretende manifestarse ad extra lo hace por el Verbo. En las criaturas ofrece una semejanza muy imperfecta de Dios. En la palabra profética el Verbo habla con palabras humanas, pero la única voz unida del todo a él es la humanidad de Jesús. Cristo, especialmente en su acontecimiento pascual, constituye la culminación de la revelación de Dios. Incluso en la gloria, al mostrarse Dios por la visión, el Verbo será mediador de nuestro conocimiento del Padre.
