About the Journal

Scope and theme:

Itinerantes is a scientific publication whose central theme is religious history in its different variables: theoretical questions about the religious fact; Catholic church and Christian churches; religious traditions; actors, practices and religious institutions; mysticism; rituality and devotional practices. Disseminate original research papers in Spanish, Portuguese and English, seeking to promote exchange and debate among scholars on the subject. Includes articles, reviews and interviews.

Article evaluation process:

The originals received are examined by the Editorial Board to decide whether they meet the formal requirements and academic quality criteria of the publication. Accepted articles are evaluated by external experts using the "double blind" system, which preserves the anonymity of authors and evaluators. The evaluated article may be accepted unmodified for publication, accepted with modifications or rejected. The editorial board may then make other style corrections it deems justified.

Open access policy:

This journal provides free and immediate access to its content under the principle of making research freely available to the public, which encourages a greater exchange of global knowledge. The sending of articles and the editorial process is free..

Periodicity:

Itinerantes has a half-yearly periodicity. Two issues are published each year covering the periods January-June and July-December.
